As he delivered his pre-Easter message and even on Easter, Archbishop of Kampala Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga raised concern that some government agents were spying on clerics and giving false information to the president that they were plotting against the government.
Army Spokesman Brig. Richard Karemire says spying on the clergy is not their mandate.
