Igoe Sheila’s body has been found at City Mortuary, Mulago by the parents who were still in search of their daughter.
She is suspected to have been involved in an accident on the unfortunate night of her disappearance which is believed to have led to her death. The family is still in shock and awaiting an official postmortem to be performed to discover the actual cause of death.
Sheila who has been a second year student at MUBS offering a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration disappeared on Wednesday, the 14th of March at around 2 o’clock in the morning. This was around her hostel of residence; Ideal Platinum Hostel in Nakawa. All efforts to reach her by friends and family through her known mobile numbers were invain as it remained switched off.
Igoe Sheila is the second MUBS student to pass away in a period of two days after Julie Nambatya, a third year student that drowned on Sunday evening during a boat cruise in Jinja.
This arises security debates of how safe university students are during these unsupervised activities organised in their various campuses. The police is yet to come out to establish the eventualities that led to these two deaths.
