On Tuesday afternoon, supporters from different camps stormed the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) football pitch. In addition, to witness the official nomination of their respective candidates. The University’s electoral commission has confirmed the nomination of five aspirants (all male). Also, vying for the position of guild president out of the six that submitted their nomination forms.
Among the nominated candidates include; Bashir Ibanda, Ntende Julius, Katura Brandon, Mugabe Edson, and Mark Hillary Kayongo. The sixth candidate in the names of Eric Mpora was not nominated due to failure to submit all the required documents. The EC gave him Wednesday as the last day to submit all the required papers as his nomination stays pending.

The nominated candidates were given an opportunity to speak to their voters. However, they were not allowed to unveil their manifestos due to limited time. They will launch their manifestos next week on Wednesday 4th April, when the second public rally will be held.
