Dr Swizen Kyomuhendo is on spot over sexual harassment to her female students; Net Photo
The Makerere University don Dr Swizen Kyomuhendo was yesterday ordered to respond to accusations of sexual misconduct and feasting on his female students.
This senior lecturer has taught at the department of social work and social administration since 1990 and more details continue to pin him over sex for favours.
Lina Zedriga Waru Abuku, a lawyer and an activist allege that Dr Kyomundo failed her daughter after she refused to give him sex in return for marks as he had demanded.
While appearing on NBS television Morning Breeze today Wednesday, Lina Zedriga pinned Kyomuhendo for withholding her daughter’s results after she refused to give him sex as he had demanded.
“That man failed my daughter, she was 1st class material,” she said.
Lina Zedriga alleges that after the daughter reported to her Kyomundo’s demands, she quickly called him and give him her daughter’s marks or else he was going to get it hot.
“When she [ daughter ] reported to me, I called and I told him to first have sex with me and then go to my daughter. I gave him an altimatun of up-to one o’clock and the marks were found,” she narrated.
Similar cases of sexual harassment have been seen at Uganda’s oldest university with a recent reference to Mr Brian Musaga, former Assistant Lecturer at the School of Statistics and Planning who was accused of sexual harassment by his female third year and finalist student.
Musaga was reportedly demanded for sex on Sunday, 29th may 2017 if she wanted to avoid a retake in her final year project.
But the then Makerere Vice chancellor Prof Ddumba Ssentamu investigated the matter and suspended Musaga for feasting on his female students.
