LeBron James might move to Golden State Warriors

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James could be tempted into a sensational move to Golden State Warriors in the off-season, should the NBA champions make the necessary room within their budget.

The Warriors have £95million tied up in their payroll, the highest in the league, but could be interested in shifting some of that money around to make room for the four-time MVP.

And, according to ESPN, Golden State are currently exploring ways to create the required allowances in order to finance a deal for the 33-year-old small forward.

The  move for James could bring about a sign-and-trade deal, which may see the Warriors offload the likes of Klay Thompson and Shaun Livingston.

Another pressing matter for Golden State would be trying to convince Kevin Durant to take a pay cut from his sizable £18m-per-year salary.

James’ frosty relationship with Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is well documented, meaning a move to the ambitious west coast outfit could well be on the cards.

That, coupled the Warriors besting the Cavs in two of the last three NBA finals, could be enough to lure James to California.
