Kyambogo guild presidential candidate yesterday shocked the whole university after he paid full tuition for two Kyambogo University stranded students.
Amanya German, the FDC flag bearer in the guild race was spotted escorting two male students identified as Kato Saul and Kigumba Lawrence both belonging to the Faculty of Education to the bank.
The two said students confirmed to Cyclone Times the receipt of the money from Mr German yesterday.
“Two weeks back I approached Amanya German through a friend and told him of my story, on how my parents had failed to raise tuition,” he said.
The two students were given 790,000 Ugandan shillings each to clear their tuition fees.
Amanya said that this is not first student he has done it for. He said he has been doing this from way back including helping students who had issues of missing marks.
Amanya German is a second year student offering a bachelor’s of Accounting and Finance; he is the current School of Management and Entrepreneurship Guild Representative Councilor and the Faculty President.
