General Mugisha Muntu on General Henry Tumukunde

General Mugisha Muntu has given his take on General Henry Tumukunde standing against President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

General Mugisha Muntu says it is very possible for anyone to stand for the presidency. I don’t see it strange if any army officer comes out of the military and he or she gets on the ground to challenge president Museveni. It is, therefore, our legitimate right to do what is right and definitely well stated in the law. In addition, I don’t see it as a strange thing that must leave so many people wondering how it has come to happen.

“I have been called a mall so many times however it is new to me in any way. This is because even in the general presidential elections, I was referred to as a mall. The late general Biraro was in the army and he strongly came out to challenge once his boss General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. General Mugisha Muntu said.

“Therefore it is not written anywhere why people from the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Force (UPDF) are not eligible to stand for the presidency in their own Country. In addition, this is because we all have equal human rights”, Mugisha Muntu added. I find those whispering this as being very stupid and selfish when they utter out such funny statements to the public. For sure it is not strange because we fought for peace and stability in this Country.
