Croatia’s squad enjoyed a night off in Miami as they took in some NBA action ahead of Saturday’s friendly clash against Peru.
The team’s stars put aside club rivalries as Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic and Real Madrid duo Mateo Kovacic and Luka Modric posed for a photo together at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
Croatia watched on as the native Heat beat Eastern Conference rivals the New York Knicks by 21 points on Thursday night.
Former Manchester United target Ivan Perisic was also in attendance along with Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, who posted a photo to his Instagram account.
Players even met with Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, who was attending during his stay in the city for the Miami Open.
Modric, Perisic, Kovacic and Rakitic then received customised Heat jerseys with their name and the number they wear for their respective clubs on the back.
Croatia will face Peru on Saturday at the 65,000-capacity Hard Rock Stadium, which is home to NFL franchise the Miami Dolphins.
Modric and Co then travel to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to face Mexico as they step up their preparations for the 2018 World Cup.
Croatia have been drawn into Group D alongside Lionel Messi’s Argentina, Nigeria and minnows Iceland, who they finished as runners-up to in qualifying.
Zlatko Dalic’s side were forced to negotiate the play-offs in order to qualify for Russia but eased through with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Greece.
